Adoption Information and Policy

Adoption Policy
Gerbils are to be pets, not food for another animal! I will not sell gerbils as feeders.

My first concern is that my gerbils have a good home where they will have appropriate housing and care! Gerbils are social animals and anyone who has owned gerbils for any length of time can tell you that they do not fair well when they are alone. For this reason, I will only sell a single gerbil if it is meant to be a companion to another gerbil. Otherwise, I only sell in pairs. The price for a single gerbil is $5.00, and $7.00 for a pair. (This price is not for profit, but to help with the cost of food and bedding.) Special deal! Details on the special deal available on the available pups page.

If the gerbil becomes ill at any time for 30 days after being sold, I will accept the gerbil back if the owner prefers.

I will also take back any gerbils I sell if the owner is for some reason unable to keep them, but do request that the gerbil's current housing be donated as well.

Adoption Info
Gerbils cannot be shipped unless it's by a few specific airlines, and that is very expensive! Thus, gerbils that are adopted must be in Alabama, possibly Atlanta (read below), unless you're willing to pay an airline an arm and a leg for shipping.

Gerbils can either be picked up, or I can deliver to an agreed location. Delivery is free around the Birmingham/Jefferson County area. I also travel to Tuscaloosa regularly and will deliver for free in Tuscaloosa provided that I am going there anyway. I occasionally travel to Atlanta, so if you live in Atlanta and are interested in a gerbil, please contact me and I can let you know the next time I will be in town. For anyone interested who lives in Alabama but outside of the specified areas, please contact me and we may be able to work something out!
